At our farm in South-East Kelowna (including our leased organic orchard, previously farmed by Lorena and Jim at Eastwood Organic Orchard), we have 8 varieties of peaches: Early Redhaven, Harbrite, Raritan Rose (white-fleshed), Redhaven, Sun Crest, Glohaven, Cresthaven and O’Henry, that are picked from mid-July to late September. Our peaches are big, freestone (except Early Redhaven), tree-ripened peaches. We have 3 varieties of plums: Santa Rosa, Green Gage and the Italian Prune, that are picked from early August to early September. We have six varieties of apples: Gala, McIntosh, Spartan, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Fuji, that are picked from early September to mid October, and sold into the winter.
