In the spring of 2023 Anstey Hatchery was purchased by the Kamlah Family of Didsbury, Alberta who own and operate a Broiler Breeder farm and Broiler farm. We thank the Anstey family for this amazing opportunity to expand and carry on with the same friendly service that was supplied by the Anstey’s for over 9 decades. We are excited for this amazing opportunity for Kamlah Farms to expand with our purchase of Anstey Hatchery and to provide a long-term supply of chicks to the poultry industry in Canada. For Anstey Hatchery we are proud to say this new relationship with Kamlah Farms, not only will we have a steady supply of eggs, but we will also have a closed-door supply. Kamlah Farms have been working over the past 4 years with Dr. Teryn Girard with Prairie Swine and Poultry. Along with her hard work, we have implemented more extensive biosecurity and improved flock health programs at Kamlah Farms. Healthy breeders make healthy eggs, and healthy eggs make strong healthy chicks! We will continue to ensure our customers have the highest quality chicks available in the marketplace. Anstey Hatchery will also continue to offer exceptional egg layer chicks and turkeys to meet your demands. Really exciting news for 2024 is the new breeders we have at our closed contract farm for all the heritage breeds we will be offering.
